This was the RAF version of the P1154 (Royal Navy's was the P1154RN). It differed from the RN version in being single seat, having a wider wheel track and avionics designed for a CAS/tactical bomber role. It was designed to replace the Hawker Hunter and had the P1154 and made it into operation, would we have have needed the Phantom, Harrier, Jaguar or Tornado ???
