Demo Installer
The free X-plane demo allows 5-10 minutes for flight so you can experience the Harriers.
Click the appropriate link for your operating system to download the installer. Upgrading to the full
version (£) of X-plane will stop the deactivation and allow unlimited Harrier flight!

Installing the Planes
After downloading the planes move the aeroplane folder into the Airplanes folder in the X-plane directory
Flying the Planes
1/ Harriers defined the STO/VL configuration. The VTOL configuration is challenging from a weight perspective,
so if you want to do a vertical take off, empty out lots of fuel first (aircraft>weight&fuel), and before you land vertically,
make sure you’ve used up most of the fuel!
2/ Think about your forward airspeed and manage the balance between aerodynamic lift and thrust lift.
Plan ahead - Harriers aren’t helicopters!
3/ You can show off your Harrier at high speed utilising aerodynamic lift, and very low speed utilising thrust lift,
but between 50 and 200 knots, it’s very easy to mess up
4/ When hovering, keep and eagle eye on your vertical speed indicator. Use thrust and vector angle to
maintain steady forward and vertical speed
5/ The best X-plane controls are to assign to keyboard keys for vector angle, and control thrust on your
joystick or mouse (scroll wheel)
