Bell 412
Since I wanted to create a Bell
212 but
had info on the Bell 412, I decided to make both. They share the
same
engines and are physically identical, except for the rotor system.
This lets all the hard work go towards two separate aircraft.
I had a flying rotor system for this aircraft in about 30 minutes
and a fuselage and paint job after a full weekend. You can see
where all my work goes... The paint job is of a Bell 412SP and
uses a slightly different variant of the PT6T-3 engine with more torque
than the base 412 and 212, but I didn't change the settings from the
212. So the matching of the paint and the engine specifics are
not correct with this model. I'll leave that up to you to play
with if you desire. I chose the paint arbitrarily from online
photos.
DON'T SAVE THIS MODEL WITH PLANE
MAKER - The skids are custom and Plane Maker will overwrite them with
the defaults. If you do want to change the aircraft, follow the
instructions in the included text file <new skid variables.txt>
to restore the custom skids. You will need ACF2TXT with the 6.51
definition file. Both of these
are available at
Mark
Fisher's page under Resources.
Enjoy!
