I wanted a watch that was a bit different from most of my few others, of good quality so it'd be used relatively often.
It's a good looking, automatic watch
with small seconds at 6 o'clock, no date.
The base movement, ETA 2895, has a date feature, but the items for that have been deleted.
Very well done. There's a bit of text on the dial, but it's still not cluttered. The hands are thin, as they should be on this style of watch, with round luminous inserts. There's no luminous material on the dial.
The watch is light and comfortable, the crown doesn't protrude much at all. It's more legible in darker conditions that I'd thought it'd be, but in spite of the Luminova dots on the hands it's not very easy to read in total darkness, as you've got to keep track of how the dial is oriented. Can be done.
I do have the bracelet, but I've never used it all. It's very well done, it's just that I don't fancy that style much.
I've gotten good value for my money, as I've used it a bit more than I figured I would.
It's chronometer certificated and in practice it's been much more accurate than required for that with about 1s/day, stable, over weeks.
Outstanding. And it's one of the few watches I've got
where the display back feels really meaningful.
Basically, apart from the bracelet
I've mentioned, it
comes in a very handsome wooden box with polishing cloth and a chronometer
certificate. What more do you need?
