Traser S3101

This is a sturdy quartz watch with tritium illumination. I bought the one with a nylon strap.

Description and what I think about it

This model has a steel case and screw in crown. Those features makes me think it's better value than the model which lacks those features.

Features

The main feature is of course the tritium gas illuminated dial and hands. They really work very well, but when coming in from bright daylight they're not as bright as good Superluminova is for up to 30 minutes.

Dial, hands and crystal

The chrystal has a very good anti-reflective coating, the dial is a good flat brown and the contrast with the hands is good, so legibility is good. It also looks good.

I had my chrystal upgraded to sapphire.

Wearing comfort and usability

It is a pretty large watch, so I've had some problems finding a strap I really like. The supplied velcro strap works well and is comfortable enough, but I don't prefer velcro in the long run. I've also used it with a Rhino strap but the one I prefer at present is a Super Sport Aquacalf strap which is quite soft but seems durable. Fit is perhaps not the best, I'd need larger wrists for that, but it's comfortable and looks good.

Accuracy

I can use it as a reference for all my other watches.

Design, fit and finish

I think the design is rather well thought out and I've got only good things to say about how well it's made.

What it comes delivered with

Not very much, but exactly the instructions you might need. It's shipped in a cylindrical box.
