This
model was my entry for the 1st X-Plane's Design Contest, done around
the Williams FJX-2 Turbofan on February 2002. It is a small recreation
jet customized by the internet fashion.
To
quote the contest rules:
"Your mission is to design a new General Aviation aircraft,
in X-Plane, that uses the Williams FJX-2 engine. (one of them).
While you design the plane to achieve maximum performance in X-Plane,
your design results will be real-world.
The
aircraft will be judged by a panel of 3 members of the digital_flight
mailing-list: Tony Gondola, Greg Hofer, and Austin Meyer himself
(aerospace engineer, pilot, and author of X-Plane).
The results
will be scored in the following areas: Range, Speed, Economy, Stability,
Handling and Overall appearance (design lines, not painting)"
