Mark Fisher's X-Planes - 1920 - 1940
Mark Fisher can be contacted at mf70@hotmail.com
X-Plane is a flight simulator available from http://www.x-plane.com/
Here are planes from the "Golden Age" of flight.
To reduce storage, I've removed all 6.xx models if
there is an updated 7.xx version. Please contact me if
you need the "earlier" version.

Jungmeister, Version 3. Photo realistic panel AND readability!. To see the
panel,
Bevo Howard would show the trainees at Spence how to really fly an airplane - in this case an overpowered Bücker Jungmeister. Try following in his footsteps! This version is optimized for maximum frame rates, to reduce the chances of computational flutter. It has revised shapes & new "radial engine technology." Paint revised based on Bevo' son's report. |

AT-6 Texan "Final" version 7.xx Texan. Tested in 7.63, and flyable in 6.56 through 8.11. The cowl vents aren't asymmetrical, but the panel is pretty close to the way it was in 1951. For you GPS flyers out there, this means that you'd better make friends with your ADF. |

Waco CG-4A : "Normandy Assault Suite"
As Federal Express says, when you need it there, and you need it there TODAY... The US Army used this glider to put twelve infantry in a unit behind enemy lines. Adapted from a 5.03 model by Pedro van Leeuwen. With a new photo cockpit and RF views. This version includes an adaption of Don Giacomo's C-47, so X-P8.xx can use it as the default tug. |

Cierva C.4 7.30/7.40 Version.Juan de la Cierva used his engineering
knowledge and his father's money to make the world's first autogyro, which he christened
the "Autogiro." Better modeling with "rotary
engine technology", beter rotor control, and even more marginal performance!

| Flying Flea Henri Mignet was a mad
inventor's mad inventor. He decided that the avaition establishment had it all wrong, and
created his own aircraft. Propelled by a lyrical "howto" book, more than 600
were started in the '30s. Unfortunately, it was catastrophically dangerous. The model isn't as easy to crash as the original. For 6.30 or "better" only - uses the "wing tip" feature for pitch control. Must be modified for use in 7.xx. |

Hindenburg LZ129
(763 version) The queen of the zeppelins. Full interior views. Read the POH!!!!!!!! As of 7.63, revised fuselage and wing assignment to use added features. Quickie custom panel with "Wheel technology," "trim ballast," and "ground crew" operation. Tested in 8.15, and actually more correct for lift there. |

ZMC-2 (820 version) An innovative, all-aluminum, hydrogen inflated blimp.
As a proof of concept, it was successful, but as a prompt to get the Navy to build a
Zeppelin-sized version, a failure. Now with two of Heintz's wonderful engines, and new "wheel technology." |
|
Stinson SM-1 (864 version) Paul Redfern
was a small man with a big plan. In Lindbergh's wake, he would fly from Brunswick,
Georgia, to Brasil. He got sponsorship and outfitted a SM-1 for the trip - including an
extra 480 gallons of fuel in the cockpit. He made it as far as the jungles of Venezuela. Now with one of Heintz's wonderful radial engines. For normal flights, empty that auxiliary tank! |

Ryan NYP
"Spirit of St. Louis" Charles
Lindbergh put all of his genius into building an aircraft that would carry him across the
Atlantic. You can get a taste of what he faced - see how differently the a/c handles
between the beginning and the end of the trip. With custom panel and
sounds; updated from 5.66. |

Pietenpol "Air Camper" (7.63 version) Bernard Pietenpol had a vision too - an
aircraft that could be owned by the common man. His Air Camper was designed to be sturdy
and cheap, with house grade lumber and a Model "A" engine and radiator (That's
the thing ahead of the pilot). Just before his death, he updated it to take a Corvair
engine; many are still flying. With custom panel & full passenger load. (see below) |

Heath LNB-4 (763
version) Mr. Heath's kit. Mr. Heath was a merchandiser of aircraft related equipment.
What could be more logical than an aircraft for Everyman from the same supplier? Mr. Heath died testing a variant, but his name has lived on. |

Handley-Page
HP-42 This immense biplane was designed as
a luxury air transport for the British Empire. It served that empire for ten years around
the globe without a single crash. Recontoured for 8.6 |

Things to Come (763
version) In 2036, John Cabal uses this plane
to fly from Oman to England to bring the Second World War to a final end. From the 1936
movie of the same name. (I'm not sure H.G. Wells would approve of the lasers, but...) With 1936 engine and panel. The plane appearing in the movie was just a wooden mockup, but the model demonstrates that it could have flown. |

Supermarine Stranraer (865 version) Supermarine designed this flying boat for marine patrol to replace the obsolete models that had been designed just after WWI. After the NEXT war, surplus "Strannies" formed the backbone of air transport along the Pacific Canadian coast, selling for as little as $12,500! |

WACO QDC This WACO was a rich man's toy, with leather upholstery and chrome door latches. Updated from an update to my 5.xx model. With new 2D animated wheel technology, one of Heintz's engines, and a little guy by Dad. |

Sikorsky S-38 Igor produced this sturdy but slow "amphibion" for the airlines, but it was priced within the means of moderately wealthy adventure flyers such as the owner of Johnson Wax and the adventure filmmaker Martin Johnson (no relation). |
