Early aircraft

[Nieuport IV-G]Neiuport IV-G Monoplane

This aircraft built in 1912 is one of two of the first aircraft purchased by the army. As far as I know, it's the oldest aircraft presently maintained in flying condition. It last flew in 1962 and it's not likely it will be allowed to fly again.

Built in 1912, c/n 138. Swedish serial number M-1.

The type was in service between 1912 and 1918.

27 of these were in service with the army aviation from 1919, the last was retired in 1932. This is a model.


[Breguet CU1]Breguet C.U-1

[Breguet CU1 engine] A single example, designated B 1 was in service from 1912 until 1916.

This is a replica built as close to the original as possible, using some original parts, like the engine, some instruments and the tail.

Three of these were in army service between 1917 and 1921. This is a model.

The type entered service with the army in 1919, was retired from the air force, where it was designated J 1, in 1932. A total of twelve served with the Swedish armed forces.

Built in 1919, military serial 947.

Four aircraft of this type were in service between 1921 and 1927.

Ten of these, starting service with the army in 1925 and retired from the air force in 1930, were designated J 2. This is a model.

Six of these, designated J 4 served with the air force in the years 1928-37. This is a model.


[Bulldog model]Bristol Bulldog II

Ten Bulldog II/IIA were in Swedish service as J 7 in 1930-40. Two of them were transferred to Finland. This is a model.
