This Pembroke shows how most tranports looked during the 1950's - 70's, bare metal and dayglo fields.

As you can see from all the antennas on this Vickers Varsity, it wasn't used much for general transport duties. Electronics trials and navigator training occupied it more.

The Catalinas were mostly used for search and rescue work. Notice the radome on top of the nose.
