Fighter non-comparison table

This table cannot be used to determine if one fighter is "better" than another, as they may not be designed for the same task, so the important thing is how well they fulfill their mission.

Another reason it cannot be used for direct comparisons is that, for example, maximum speeds given may be the maximum possible speed, maximum speed with a certain load or the guaranteed speed.

Range may also be under different circumstances. Take, for example, the AMX, which has a ferry range with two 1100 litre external tanks of 3300 km, a lo-lo-lo radius with 900 kg warload of 550 km, a hi-lo-hi radius with 900 kg warload of 880 km and a hi-lo-hi radius with 2200 kg warload of 530 km.
Or Rafale: lo-lo-lo strike radius 530 km, hi-lo-hi strike radius 630 km and air superiority radius 900 km; Also low level penetration with 12 x 250 kg bombs, 4 x Mica, 4300 litre external fuel in three tanks radius 1090 km, long range air-to-air configuration with 8 x Mica and 6600 litre external fuel in four tanks radius 1850 km. With the proposed conformal overwing tanks, three external tanks, two Apache and six Mica radius will also be 1850 km even though warload is that much greater. With M88-3B engines (available by 2005 at the earliest) should give Rafale a supercruise at 1.4 M with 6 missiles, while the current M88-2 gives it a 1.2 M cruise speed with two missiles.

Or Aero L159. Conditions are optimium range cruise (hi-lo-hi at 30000'), high speed dash the 56 km closest to the target, 5 min for the attack itself, and the different radiuses of action for the single-seat variant comes out like this:

                         lo-lo-lo hi-lo-hi
clean 395 565 km
2 x 500 l tanks 640 975 km
2 x 500 l tanks +
  2 x Mk 82 + gun pod 575 820 km
2 x 500 l tanks +
  2 x Mk 82 +
  2 x AIM-9 + gun pod 565 790 km

For air combat training 56 km from the air base, time in area comes out at:

clean 85 min
2 x AIM-9 + gun pod 80 min
4 x AIM-9 + gun pod 60 min

Hardpoints may include those only suitable for certain stores, like fuel tanks, ECM equipment or several smaller loads in place of one larger.

Weights may not add up, as maximum take off weight may be either the theoretical limit or what the aircraft actually weighs with a full load of fuel and full regular combat load. Load may or may not include the external tanks.

Also note that all loadings don't apply at the G-load the basic aircraft itself it made for. For example, F-16A's wingtip and outer underwing pylons were designed for 114 kg (Sidewinder + launcher) at 9G (probably OK for AMRAAM now); The fuselage centre station were made for 1000 kg, the mid underwing pylons 1130 kg and the inner underwing pylons for 1590 kg, all at a G loading of 5.5G. (But don't let appearances fool you: F-15E for example may look like the other F-15s, but it's got a stronger fuselage and wings, so it's designed for 9G with a full load, even though it's larger than previous F-15s.)

Normally, assymetric loads also reduce permissable G load.

Range can be with full load of external fuel, in which case of course the warload is reduced. Maximum warload may not be given for the case of maximum internal fuel.

Speed can also influence range. The best long range cruise speed for the FB-111 was around 440kt. An F-111A had a hi-lo-lo-hi combat radius of 1005 nm, including a 100 nm dash at M 0.9:
100 nm @ M 0.9 means 50 nm less radius,
100 nm @ M 1.0 means 150 nm less radius,
100 nm @ M 1.1 means 300 nm less radius,
100 nm @ M 1.2 means 400 nm less radius.

Some other useful numbers than those here are acceleration (as an example: F/A-18A M0.8-M1.6 in 88s -- I don't know at what altitude and other conditions), max and sustained G (7.5 and 6.6G for F/A-18A) and roll rate (F/A-18 < 150 deg/s at M1.0 and 3000 m, > 160 deg/s at M1.3).

In short: As the information is from different sources, computed in different, you cannot always compare the aircraft to each other.
