Fällkniven WM1 is a very good small, lightweight, utility
knife.
The 3.5 mm blade is convex ground, with a rolled edge, and
it's tapering all the way to the point.
Balance point about 30 mm into the handle from the guard.
It's of course designed with small hands in mind,
but that's not all of it, as then a scaled down "mini-F1"
would have done the job (but not really being necessary,
as the F1 itself is very suitable to different hand sizes,
as is the WM1). To my mind, it's more sort of a smaller,
modernized, knife of a slightly different kind than the
A1/S1/F1, as shown by the different handle profile.
Length: 175 mm, blade 70 mm.
Weight: 70 g, with kydex belt sheath 122 g.
Blade: 3.5 mm max thickness
VG-10 steel
Practically full tang
You can choose between three different kinds of sheaths
when you buy the knife, leather dangler, kydex and kydex
neck sheath, and all of them are also available separately.
They're quite economical, so having more than one sheath
for different occasions makes a lot of sense.
The kydex sheath holds the knife very securely, even without the strap. I'd trust it for upside down carry that way. The belt loop is wide enough for wide belts. Construction is very sturdy, without feeling heavy nor big, and it's easy to withdraw and put back the knife.
Sometimes I like a leather dangler sheath better, for example when carrying a backpack. This one is very well made.
The neck sheath is very light, only 25 g with another 10 g for the cord and slim, only 45 mm wide. Works well as a neck sheath, but I'll actually use it without the cord in one of my knife pockets, where it fits very well, is easy to withdraw from the sheath with only one hand and easy to put safely back.
